But we’re not just influenced by the Dead and the host of rock-and-roll saints and martyrs who’ve been part of it. Our music is theirs, colored by whatever our own peculiarities bring to the aural swirl. We’re keeping alive the tunes, the jams, and the laid-back vibe that Jerry and his mates discovered along the trip they began in 1960s Haight-Ashbury. We’re Deal, like the song, and we’re coming round, in and beyond.
